Story from the Artist: This painting is pure fun and colour. I love manuka
and our farm is covered in these flowering trees around xmas time, so
naturally I am drawn to paint them. Fantails are all around aswell,
so therefore the combination of fantails and manuka go hand in hand.
The texture suggests that there is alot of movement going, alot is
happening in summer, its a busy yet beautiful time of year for
nature.

Story from the Artist: This is one of my signature style ruru family paintings. To me they are the cutest birds in the world, here I have put them together in an autumn scene which is my favourite time of year. I love how they are a close knit family sitting tightly together ,
looking out for each other, just quietly peeking thru the autumn leaves to see if any one notices them.

Note from the artist: Cobwebs are often considered to be quite ugly
things and brushed away with a broom to get rid of them from the
outside of your house. I wanted to paint them to show how something
ugly can also be a thing of amazing beauty, with their beautiful dew
drops, back lighting and two gorgeous fantails sitting on branches
above them. So basically turning something ugly into something
beautiful.
