Lisa was born in Timaru, New Zealand. After leaving school at a young age, she followed her passion and completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design, graduating art school in 2010. Lisa has a strong sense of family and the richness that children bring to her family lives, and this is evident in the works she creates. Lisa's work largely consists of reverse hand-painting and silk screen printing on Perspex using acrylic paint, glitter, and gold leaf. Sometimes the subject is floated within the frame creating a shadow. As daylight casts its glow on the works, so too does the shadow, thus bringing the subject to life. We also see a 3 dimensional aspect to her work that also brings it to life, together with the subject these are artworks you will never tire of.
